The typing of a Doodle determines its strengths and weaknesses. It is an attribute that mainly balances out Doodles, and helps to make each kind of Doodle unique in its own way.
There are currently 20 types in Doodle World. Each type has three properties: This determines the types of Doodle it is super effective against, which types of Doodles it is not effective against and which types of Doodles it is completely ineffective against.
All Doodles either have one or two types. For instance, Pupskey is a pure Ice-type Doodle, while Glubbie is a dual Poison/Spirit-type Doodle. Doodles with two types inherit the weaknesses and strengths of each type. These modifiers add together to get the Doodle's defensive effectiveness, which can result in major weakness or resistance when both types are similarly really weak or strong to a type, neutral effectiveness when both types have opposing effectiveness, or immunity if at least one type is immune to the attacking type.
Below is a list of all the 20 types, and their symbols.
