Trait[]
A Trait is a passive ability that can potentially change a Doodle's stats, prevent status effects, enhance attacks that a Doodle uses, change priority, etc. Each Doodle will have a set trait when obtained. A Doodle has the potential of having 1 of 2 abilities (or of 1). If a Doodle has the ability to have two traits, you can change your Doodle's trait by using a Trait Badge.
Hidden Trait[]
A Hidden Trait is a rarer ability that your Doodle can potentially obtain. The chances of finding a Doodle with a hidden trait are slim, with the odds of 1/200, though this can be increased with Chaining. Hidden traits can be identified on a Doodle with a light blue level indicator, or with an icon that resembles three stars (). You may change a Doodle's trait from a normal trait to a hidden trait with the use of a Hidden Trait Badge. You cannot use a normal Trait Badge to change a Doodle's trait to a hidden trait.

Alacrity | This Doodle's attacks do 20% more damage if it hasn't been attacked this turn, and 20% less damage if it has been attacked this turn. |
Aloe Vera | This doodle has a 33% chance to cure their status condition at the end of each turn. |
Almagest | This Doodle's secondary typing does double super effective damage. |
Ambrosia | When this Doodle gets swapped out, cure the status of the next Doodle that switches in. |
Amp It Up | After this Doodle is hit with an attack, the next Spark-type move they use does 50% more damage. |
Analytical | When a Doodle with this trait is sent out into battle, they boost one of their stats, depending on the opponent. The stat that gets boosted is dependent on the opponent's highest stat. If the highest stat is their physical attack, the doodle gets a physical defense boost. If the highest stat is their magical defense, the doodle gets a magical attack boost, and so on and so forth. If the opponent's highest stat is speed, the doodle gets a Speed boost. |
Annihilation | When this Doodle attacks, the target's trait does not activate. |
Annoying Insect | After this Doodle does damage to a target with an Insect-type move, taunt the target for 3 turns. |
Anti-Paralysis | All party members are cured of paralysis when this Doodle is sent out into battle. |
Apathetic | This Doodle ignores boosted attack and defense stats. |
Apex | While defending, this Doodle's Beast typing isn't applied during calculation. |
Apparition | This Doodle’s Basic-type moves become Spirit-type and deal 1.3x damage. |
Archmage | For the rest of the battle, this Doodle and its allies have 20% more attack and magical attack. This effect goes away once the doodle with it faints. |
Arid | If it’s raining when this Doodle is sent out into battle, reduce the weather turn counter by 5. |
Arsonist | This doodle's attacks have a 20% chance to burn. |
Avenger | When this Doodle switches in after an ally faints, boost their Attack. |
Balloon Pop | If this Doodle faints, they lower the attack, magical attack, and speed of opposing Doodles. |
Banana Peel | When an attacker misses this Doodle with a move, they take 25% of their max HP in damage. Attacks on this doodle miss 10% more often |
Bandit | When this Doodle is below 50% of its maximum health, their defense is increased by 50% |

Basic Care | Allies take 25% less damage while this Doodle is on the field. |
Battery Charge | After this Doodle uses a Spark-type move, their next Spark type attack does 50% more damage. |
Bee Arena | After this Doodle gets sent out, summons Bees on both sides. |
Berry Good | When this Doodle gets swapped out, heal the next Doodle that comes in by 15% of their health. |
Bird of Prey | This Doodle's Air Type moves are now super effective on Air-Types. |

Bypass | This Doodle's attacking moves bypass Shale, Crystal Wall and Magical Shield. |
Caliginous | Makes the user immune to Light Type moves. |
Calm | This trait causes doodles to ignore boosted attack and defense stats. |
Caloric Deficit | This Doodle’s Food-type moves do more damage, but at the cost of health. |
Capoeira | This Doodle always hits the maximum amount of times when using multi-strike moves. |
Capricious | When this doodle gets sent out, boost a random stat of the opponent. This doodle boosts its highest stat after damaging a doodle with a stat boost. |
Cardinal Sins | This Doodle does 40% more damage if this Doodle has not been attacked yet this turn. |
Careless | This Doodle can’t be enraged or confused. |
Chanting | This Doodle’s sound-based moves do more damage when used consecutively. |
Chef | While this Doodle is attacking, if the target is a Food-type or there's Chocolate rain, do 30% more damage. |
Chemical Explosion | If this Doodle faints, damages all opposing doodles by 25% of their max health. |

Contagion | Whenever this Doodle would inflict Poison, inflict Diseased instead. |
Corrosion | When this Doodle uses a Poison type move, they clear a random entry hazard from your side of the field. |
Corruption | This Doodle's physical moves do 30% more damage but have 20% less accuracy. |

Crowd Support | This Doodle greatly boosts its attack when they knock out another Doodle. This trait can only activate once per switch-in. |
Crude | When this Doodle is sent out into battle, they lower the speed of opposing Doodles. |
Crystalline | When this Doodle is sent out into battle, they summon a temporary Crystal Wall that halves damage from physical attacks. |
Crystallization | When this Doodle causes another Doodle to faint, summons a Crystal Wall for their side. |
Daring Devil | This Doodle's attack can't be lowered. If this Doodle's attack would be lowered, boost their attack instead. |
Dauntless | If the Doodle with this ability has a status condition, it deals 50% more magical damage. |
Decay | When this Doodle gets sent out, they clear a random entry hazard from your side of the field. |
Delicate | This Doodle's weak attacks do 50% more damage. |
Desert Body | If there is a sandstorm, recovers 10% of the doodle's max health at the end of each turn. |
Deepfreeze | This Doodle’s moves have a 2x chance to freeze. |
Destructive Anger | This Doodle does more damage if enraged. |
Deterrent Sabre | After using a Slashing move, boosts the user's defense. |
Detox | This Doodle heals from the poison/disease status effect instead of taking damage. |
Dimwitted | This Doodle does 50% more damage, but they can only use attacks that do damage and they can't use held items. |
Direct Combatant | This Doodle can only take damage from attacks. |
Discover | When this Doodle is sent out into battle, they discover the held items of opposing Doodles. |
Divine Beast | This Doodle is immune to Beast-type attacks. |
Downpour | When this Doodle is awakened/sent out in battle, they summon Rain. |
Duel | This Doodle never misses or dodges. |
Durable | This Doodle can't be knocked out in one hit if they are at full health. |
Dust Dash | This Doodle's speed is doubled during a Sandstorm. |
Dust Storm | When this Doodle is sent out into battle, they summon a Sandstorm. |
Edible Treat | If this Doodle faints, they fully restore their ally’s health. |
Efficient Proxy | This Doodle's Scapegoats have more health. |
Electrocute | If this Doodle is hit with a contact move, the attacker has a 30% chance to become paralyzed. |
Elegance | This Doodle can change its stance while in battle. If an attacker makes contact with Scissor Guard, this Doodle gains an attack boost. |
Elemental Resist | This doodle can't be paralyzed, burned, or frozen. |
Enfeeble | When this Doodle is below 50% HP, they do half damage. |
Entangle | This Doodle stops attackers from switching out from damaging pivot moves such as Hit-n-Run and Takeout. |
Entertainer | This Doodle's attacks have a 20% chance to cause confusion. |
Envy | This Doodle does 30% more damage if they don't have a held item. |
Eruption | After this Doodle uses a Fire-type attack, it erupts, making it a Fire-type. This Doodle is also immune to getting burned |
Escapist | Guarantees fleeing from wild Doodles. |
Ethereal | Attacks on this Doodle miss 10% more often. |
Evasive | Switches out any Doodle that attacks this Doodle. |
Everlasting | This Doodle's Candy Cubes are never consumed. |
Exoskeleton | This Doodle takes 30% less damage from physical moves. |
Extinguisher | All party members are cured of burn when this Doodle is sent into battle. |
Ferocity | This Doodle boosts its attack when they knock out another doodle. |
Filament | This Doodle is immune to Spark-type attacks. If this Doodle is hit by a Spark-type move, their Light-type moves do more damage. |
Fire Up | This Doodle's Fire-type moves become boosted if it's hit by one. They are also immune to Fire-type moves. |
Fireproof Armor | This Doodle takes half damage from Fire-type attacks. |
Firewall | When this Doodle is sent out into battle, they summon a Flame Shield that shoots a Firebolt at any opposing Doodle that hits them with a magical attack. |
Firestarter | For every Burn this Doodle inflicts in battle, this Doodle does 10% more damage. |
First Degree Burns | If an opposing Doodle is burned, they take double damage at the end of each turn. |
Fish Outta Water | If it’s raining, the user regains 10% of their max HP at the end of each turn. |
Floaty | If this doodle is hit with an Air-type move, boost their defense. |
Foam Guard | At the end of the turn, they summon a Bubble Shield that shoots a Waterbolt at any opposing Doodle that hits them with physical attack. |
Forbidden Knowledge | When this Doodle is hit with a contact move, the attacker is inflicted with Sonata of Darkness, causing them to faint in 3 turns. |
Fortified | This Doodle is immune to critical hits. |

Soul Link | When this Doodle gets sent out, it will establish a soul link between it and the opposing Doodle forever. Soul Linked Doodle will take 30% more damage from Doodle that gets sent out. |
Speed of Swag | After this Doodle uses a super-effective Attack, boost their speed. This trait only works once per switch-in. |
Spell Shield | This doodle takes half damage from all magical attacks. |
Spellcaster | Boosts Spark, Ice, and Fire-type attacks by 25% |
Spiteful | This Doodle's weaknesses and resistances are reversed. |
Splintered Shards | If this Doodle is hit with a damaging move, they do a little damage back. |
Split | When this Doodle faints, restore it to full HP and shrink its size. Once it faints at its smallest size, it explodes, doing damage! |
Spooky | If this doodle is hit with an attack, the attacker has a 25% chance to become cursed. |
Spool | This Doodle’s Basic-type moves do 30% more damage, but at the cost of health. |
Stabby Stabby | This Doodle's Metal-type attacks do 30% more damage. |
Static Charge | After this Doodle uses a Charging move, they boost their speed. |

Trivia[]
- Kelpie's evolutionary line was originally going to have it's Hidden Trait (Which was Vengeance at the time) with a trait called Seaweed Curtain before Foam Guard was created.
- Seaweed Curtain would grant the possessor and their allies immunitely to Status Effects for 5 turns each switch in.
- Sending out a Doodle with the trait Mind Games replaces the opposing Doodle's trait with "Trait stolen" until it swaps out. This trait by technicality is the only trait that can be given to any Doodle.
- Posting a Doodle species with only one possible Trait into chat will always show as a Hidden Trait. It is unknown if this was intentional or not.

Only 11 Doodles have no Hidden Trait, which are Seamstress, Seamknight, Bungo, Reliconis, Alptusk, Mammolten, Trilosect, Trilagid, Glacigash, Diyossua, and Armaratus. These Doodles can get this by using a Trait Badge. Their regular traits will come back by rejoining. This trait has no effect.
