Riffraff's Lair is a hideout owned by Mister Riffraff that is found deep in Lakewood Sewer. Despite the grimy exterior and location, the interior of the lair is actually very clean and modern, with games and devices such as a television, a pool table, and a minigolf course. This is where the player "rescues" the DoodleCo engineer from playing Roblox.
Story Events[]
Upon entering the lair, Mister Riffraff shows the player around all the facilities, using teleportation. Once the tour is complete, Riffraff, the DoodleCo engineer, and the player all play the games in Riffraff's Lair for hours, and have lots of fun. After the games are over, TJ enters the lair, and scolds the DoodleCo engineer for not only abandoning his task of fixing the fallen electrical poles on Route 3, but also for following Riffraff into a sewer just to play Roblox.
TJ tries to get the engineer and the player to leave, but is stopped by Riffraff, who will only let you and the employee leave if they battle him. Once the player beats Riffraff, he teleports away as Teneson, the DoodleCo CEO's right-hand man, enters the lair. Teneson explains that Riffraff stole the teleportation technology from DoodleCo. Teneson also tells the engineer to get back to his job, and to meet him back at DoodleCo HQ after he is finished.
Riffraff is shown talking to his lackeys near Lakewood Tunnel's entrance. He says that "the first phase is done," and that "Teneson is now in play." Riffraff also explains that he is confident that Teneson will use Reragon to clear the fallen electric poles on Route 3, and that will trigger another disaster. Finally, he says that he will meet the creature that keep sending him dreams, even if it kills him to do so. Then, the player is allowed to progress past Route 3, and onto Route 4.
After obtaining the third Key, the player will be able to talk to Rufus at Lakewood Tunnel, and he will ask the player to meet him at Riffraff's Lair. In the lair, Rufus comments on how Riffraff's Lair is the coolest sewer home he's ever seen. Then, he gets interrupted by Inari. Her and Rufus immediately express a dislike of each other, with the two of them constantly trying to insult each other. Inari explains that she obtained the Stone Key from a heist of the Doodle Museum of History, and defeated the curator, who was the Key Guardian. Then, Rufus suggests that the player should battle either him or Inari to pass the time. Rufus' Doodles are of a much higher level than Inari's, but he rewards an additional 800 Gems for defeating him.
After the battle, the engineer enters the lair to tell the group that the truck has been cleared. Rufus leaves, saying that he is sure that the player will meet him again.

Riffraff's Lair NPC's[]
The list below is all the NPC's the player interacts/battles when they are in Riffraff's Lair after Mister Riffraff has taken an DoodleCo Engineer to his lair. Some like TJ are important to the players story and others will battle the player for money and or reward the player for defeating them.
Name | Gender | Dialouge | Location |
---|---|---|---|
Mister Riffraff | Male | (When the player enters Riffraff's search Mister Riffraff himself): "You made it, (player's name)!" *he then teleports to the player to greet them* "I was starting to get worried you wouldn't show. I've made a lot of arrangements to make this room spiffy and fun. Let me show you around. As you can see, I have a pool table. If you want to get good at pool, we can play a few rounds and I'll give you a few pointers. I was the best pool player on the island, so you'll be learning from one of the best. Come, follow me." *the player then follows Mister Riffraff over to the television where the DoodleCo Engineer is seen sitting on the couch* "The TV is currently being used as you can see. Hi, Joe." *the DoodleCo Engineer then talks to Mister Riffraff helpful his video is* "No problem. The Demon King in Hero Havoc was pretty difficult if you didn't know what you were doing. Let us continue." *the player and Riffraff walk over to the table where there is a teleport device on it* "Ooh, have you ever seen one of these tablets before? It's called a Training Helper! DoodleCo makes these and usually charges an exorbitant price for them. I somehow got my hand on an extra one of these, so I'll let you have this one." *Mister Riffraff then gives the player a Training Helper* "The Training Helper is a useful tool that lets every Doodle in your party gain experience, even if they don't participate in battle. Anyway, this is the kitchen. If you want some food, I can make it for you. Just call me Chef Riffraff! I was a 5-star chef on this island's most decorated hotel, so I know my way around this kitchen. My skills with a knife are second to none. Anyway, let's go upstairs. It's too much work using the ladders, so let's teleport up there. All I have to do is clap my hands and think of the location in which I want to teleport! Get ready, it feels weird the first time you teleport!" *Mister Riffraff and teleports the player and himself over to the hot tub* "You must feel a bit nauseous after teleporting your first time. Thankfully, I have a hot tub that lets you relax your nausea away! ... Ok, I'll be honest. The water in this hot tub came from the sewer. However, not to worry! The water is 100% purified! Isn't DoodleCo technology amazing? Let's walk over to the minigolf course." *the player and Mister Riffraff walk over to the minigolf course* "One hole minigolf! I personally don't like minigolf that much, but Number One demanded that there be mingolf. Have you met Number Two and Number Three? They're part of Team Riffraff. I told those two to guard the entrance, but it wasn't to keep anyone out. Well, besides a particularly annoying DoodleCo Executive... Oops! I went off on a tangent. The tour's almost done, there's only one more activity!" *the player and Mister Riffraff walk over to table* "Last but not least: air hockey! Ahh... air hockey. Whenever I play, I get reminded of the time when I was a small lad, winning the Air Hockey World Championship... If you want to play a former World Champion, I'm game! And that's all the activities I have in my humble adobe. So, what do you want do first?" *You have a lot of fun playing games with Mister Riffraff... Two hours later...* "That was a pretty productive two hours, right?" *the DoodleCo Engineer then talks to him and TJ then enters Riffraff's Lair after defeating Number Two* "Right on cue." *TJ then asks what happened when he was battling Number Two* "We just got done with playing Roblox on my huge television screen." *the DoodleCo Engineer chimes in by thanks for his help. TJ is then confused about what he is hearing. the DoodleCo Engineer then talks, and then TJ talks to the player. Mister Riffraff then teleports behind TJ and TJ questions how he can do that* "It's one of my tricks~ well, it's not really a trick." *TJ then tells him to move out of his way* "We need to stay here a bit longer. If you can defeat me in a Doodle battle, I'll let you all leave." *TJ then tells him he can't battle him because his doodles are weak after the battle with Number Two and the DoodleCo Engineer says he has no doodles* "It looks like (players name) and I will be fighting. If (players name) wins, I'll let all 3 of you leave without any complaints." *TJ then tells the player that they need to win this battle* "Let's have a good battle!" *he then starts the battle with his Misprint Riffrat, next his Partybug, and finally his Dramask* (Dialogue of the player losing the battle): *Unknown* (Dialogue of the player winning the battle): "Looks like my fun is over for now." (Dialogue after the player wins the battle against Mister Riffraff): "Thanks for the fun battle!" *Number Two and Number Three then tell Riffraff that Teneson is coming* "And this is when I take my leave. Good day to you all. Number Two, Number Three. We're teleporting out." *Number Two, Number Three, and Mister Riffraff then teleport to somewhere* | Can be found when the player enters his this area where he talks to the player and the DoodleCo Engineer and have fun with the both of them until he teleports out of his lair to run from Teneson. |
DoodleCo Engineer (Joe) | Male | (Dialogue of him talking to Mister Riffraff): "Hello. This video guide you made is very helpful!" *Mister Riffraff then talks to him and then leaves to talk to the player and have fun with them* (Dialogue of him after playing his game and playing with Mister Riffraff and the player for two hours)" *he is standing in the circle with Mister Riffraff and the player and talks after Riffraff asks if their two hours were productive* "Yeah, I had a lot of fun! I was so close to beating you at air hockey!" *TJ then enters Riffraff's Lair after defeating Number Two and asks what they were doing when he was battling Number Two. Mister Riffraff then tells him that they got done playing Roblox on the big television screen* "Again, thanks for your help, Mister Riffraff!" *TJ is then confused he is hearing* "Err.. when you put it in that way, it does sound kinda absurd." *TJ then talks to the player* "Yeah... we should probably get going before I get in trouble... I have an important job to do, you two have to hunt for keys..." *Mister Riffraff then teleports behind TJ and tells them they can't leave after a Doodle battle. TJ then tells Riffraff that his doodles are weak after his fight with Number Two* "I don't actually own any Doodles." *Mister Riffraff then says he will battle the player so that they can all leave his lair if they win. TJ then tells the player that they need to win the battle. Mister Riffraff then starts the battle against the player* (Dialogue after the player wins the battle against Mister Riffraff): *Number Two and Number Three tell Mister Riffraff that Teneson his coming, so they all teleport out of Riffraff's Lair* "Teneson is coming here? Oh dear... I'm getting launched out from a DoodleCo cannon for sure. Teneson is the CEO's right hand man. Not only that, he's ranked second in the DoodleCo Battle League." *Teneson then comes into Riffraff's Lair* "Hi, sir... what are you doing here?" *Teneson then tells him if he was the person who got kidnapped by Mister Riffraff and then says he is looking for Riffraff because he is trying to capture him* "He isn't that bad, sir. He gave me activities to do while I was --" *the DoodleCo Engineer then gets cut off by Teneson, telling him that Riffraff stole a prototype of a teleportation device, Teneson talks to TJ and the player and then tells them he will leave to go to Route 3 to meet him, in which he does* (Dialogue after Teneson leaves Riffraff's Lair): "Am I not getting punished?" *Teneson then says he would like him to go to his HQ to have a talk after this* "Ah, fiddlesticks..." *He then leaves to go with Teneson to Route 3* | Can be found sitting on the couch playing Hero Havoc in Riffraff's Lair as well as other games with the player and then is in a circle with the player and Mister Riffraff and then leaves to go to Route 3 with Teneson. |
TJ | Male | (Dialogue when he comes into Mister Riffraff's Lair after defeating Number Two): "Sorry it took so long! I'm here to save you two from the clutches of Mister Riffraff!" *Mister Riffraff then talks* "... Uhhh... what are you three doing?" *Mister Riffraff then tells him that they got done playing Roblox on the big television screen. the DoodleCo Engineer then chimes in by saying thanks for Riffraff's help* "... You're telling me that a DoodleCo Engineer... ...Went off, willingly, with a known criminal... To play Roblox... IN A SEWER???" *the DoodleCo Engineer then talks* "And what are YOU doing? We're supposed to be doing the key hunt! And we can't progress until the electrical poles are cleared." *the DoodleCo Engineer then says that they should do that. Then Mister Riffraff then teleports behind TJ* "You can teleport, too?" *Mister Riffraff then talks* "Just get out of the way!" *Mister Riffraff then says he needs them to stay longer, so then says he will do a Doodle battle and after so, will let them all leave* "All my Doodles are weak from the fight with his lackey..." *the DoodleCo Engineer says he can't because he has no Doodles, so the player will have to defeat Mister Riffraff so that all of them can leave his lair* "You better beat Riffraff!" *the player then battles Mister Riffraff*(Dialogue after the player wins the battle against Mister Riffraff): *Number Two and Number Three tell Mister Riffraff that Teneson his coming, so then all of them teleport out of Riffraff's Lair. After that happens, the DoodleCo Engineer and Teneson have a talk about Mister Riffraff, and then over to TJ* "Hello." *Teneson TJ and the player for the bad "All we wanted was for the collapsed electrical poles on Route 3 to be cleared..." *Teneson then tells TJ that it might be the work of a key guardian, trying to stop key hunters from finding them. Teneson then asks if it was only collapsed electrical poles* "Yeah." *Tenseon then tells TJ that he can get the poles cleared, so then he leaves, but before he does, he tells the DoodleCo Engineer that he would like to meet him in his HQ. So the DoodleCo Engineer and Teneson leave to go to Route 3* "Well, I'll meet you at Route 3 too." *TJ then leaves the player to go to Route 3* | During a cutscene after the player, the DoodleCo Engineer, and Mister Riffraff had fun for two hours and then leaves to go to Route 3 to get there with Teneson and the DoodleCo Engineer. |
Number Two (offscreen) | Male | (Dialogue after the player wins the battle against Mister Riffraff): "Teneson is coming!" *Number Three then talks. I'm hunting Riffraff down like the dog that he is." *the DoodleCo Engineer then tells him if you get to know Riffraff, he is a nice guy* "What are you, a kid? You know he stole our prototype teleportation device." *he then walks over to TJ* "Greetings." *TJ then says hello to him* "I am so sorry for the inconveniences DoodleCo has caused you two." *TJ then tells Teneson that they wanted the electrical poles to be cleared in Route 3* "Collapsed electrical poles? That must be the work of the closest key guardian. Each key guardian controls a territory, and when they feel like they're under attack, they cause disasters to happen. It's just some collapsed electrical poles, correct?" *TJ then says yes* "I can clear them for you. Come meet me at Route 3, near those poles." *Teneson then leaves to go to Route 3 but before he does, the DoodleCo Engineer then asks if he's in trouble* "Oh, I forgot. Trivia[]
- The original entrance in the sewer for when the player would enter had red neon lights in 2022, but was removed as of now.
- This is one of the few locations where players are able to fight a Doodle owned by a NPC tamer that is set to be a Misprint.
- Additionally, the Riffrat is named Number Four, which is also the first time players are able to fight a nicknamed Doodle owned by a NPC tamer.
- Riffraff continuously mentions the Roblox game "Hero Havoc Simulator." This game is playable here, and was also developed by Wish_Z. Doodles such as Glubbie and Needling, as well as characters such as Cassidy and Craig, originate from this game.
- Riffraff also talks about the "Demon King," the final boss of the game. The Demon King, however, was never added to the actual game.
- Mounts can't be used in Riffraff's Lair.
- This is also the one and only place the player can get a Training Helper in the game.
- Riffraff also mentions that Number One wanted to have the minigolf course in his lair, implying that he had Number One before Number Two and Number Three, or he was worked with Number Two and Number Three for Riffraff before abandoning him. Sadly it's unknown where he is now.
