- Qilintel's silhouette was teased on the Discord on October 24th 2022, and its typing and name were later revealed on November 11th 2022.
- Qilintel is based on a Qilin, a unicorn-like mythologic animal that appears around the passing of a sage or ruler.
- They often resemble horses with a dragon's head.
- Qilintel is the 5th heaviest out of all doodles, weighing 1720 lbs.
- Qilintel's concept art color pallet was changed when it was added in the game, although the misprint colors stayed the same.
