Doodle Mechanics
Chaining
Main Article: Chaining.
Chaining is when the player consecutively defeats the same species of Doodle, which gradually increases the probability of obtaining Misprint, Hidden Trait, and doodles with higher Stars. Tints are not affected by chaining. A chain is broken when the player defeats a different species of Doodle with the exceptions of when the chain is over 50 (or 10 for legendary doodles). A chain can also be broken when a doodle is caught. To maintain a chain against a different doodle, either catch it with a Chain Capsule or escape. The Tally Counter may be utilised to view the player’s current chain and with chains over 10, an indicator is located at the bottom right of the screen.
Example: If you defeat 50 Borbos, then you get 5 extra rolls. (10 per 1 roll) So your odds for a misprint Borbo is 6/4000 without any boost or gamepasses. For Mythicals per 1 defeated = 1 roll, so 5 Glubbies defeated = 6/800
This mechanic serves as a pay-free alternative to acquire similar and higher benefits to the trinket gamepasses, as chains have no capping point.
