Kentucky Smith is a renowned archaeologist and explorer. He assists the player and their friends in entering The Oasis.

Story Events[]

Route 7[]

The player first meets Kentucky at Route 7, when he approaches the player and their group of friends. He introduces himself as an archaeologist. He wants to help the group get into the Oasis, partly because he believes Ellen, DoodleCo's head of finances, is snobbish. He also says that his Doodles were confiscated by the local police, but does not want to discuss why. He says that he'll help the group enter the Oasis if they can defeat a ghost for him at the Ruined Castle, since he wants to explore the castle.

When the player and Kentucky arrive, the Ghost thinks that they are bandits and attacks them. Once the Ghost is defeated, it realizes that the player and Kentucky are not bandits. Before it disappears, Kentucky asks what happened to the castle. It is revealed that about 200 years ago, the castle's energy source was stolen. Before the energy source was stolen, the castle was flourishing and thriving. Then, as it disappears, Kentucky comments on how The Oasis was founded 200 years ago. Then, Kentucky explains that since the gate is rusted shut, there's no way that they can explore inside the castle. Kentucky states that if they could go back in time, they could have found out what truly happened, before telling the player to meet him back at The Oasis gate.

The Oasis Introduction[]

After entering The Oasis, Kentucky Smith gives the Player alongside their group of friends a tour of The Oasis. He tells them that the city was only built 15 years ago and its growth is mostly thanks for Oasis Energy. He then claims that building a city in the middle of the desert is an absolute miracle to happen. Kentucky tells the group of friends that while Oasis Energy owns around 60% of the city, DoodleCo owns the other 30% of the Oasis. He informs the Player that the 4th ranked execute, Ellen, is here to purchase the rest of the city and make a deal with Oasis Energy. Suzie then claims that his math is incorrect as that would only add up to 90% and questions Kentucky on who owns the other 10% of the Oasis. Kentucky then reveals that a man called Zane owns the other 10% of the city. After telling them all the information they need, Kentucky then concludes his short introduction about the Oasis, leaving the group of friends because he needs to report back to Ellen about what he learned back at the Ruined Castle.
