Story

Past

Prior to the events of the main story, von Sweets started up a small candy shop alongside a Pandishi he met at Chef's Valley. With Pandishi's help, the store grew into a massive factory. Originally, von Sweets and the town had a positive relationship, with the money that the factory made being used to improve the town. However, Pandishi's culinary skill began to worsen, and anything it made began to taste increasingly worse. Finally, von Sweets woke up one morning to discover that Pandishi had ran away. From then onward, he shut himself into his own factory, and let the town around him fall into disarray.

Von Sweetsville Factory

After opening the four doors at the end of his factory, he is found standing at the end of the hall. Von Sweets tells the player that he wants to be rid of his Key, because DoodleCo harassed him prior to the Key Hunt. Afterwards, he moves to the center of the factory to battle, in hopes that Pandishi will hear the battle. Before battling him, Suzie asks about the "Ultimate Candy," and von Sweets tells her that it was nothing more than a marketing ploy. Then, he recognizes Suzie as "the Suzie from ten years ago," and apologizes to her for what he did. Suzie explains that ten years ago, her parents signed her up to try an experimental new candy known as Chocotine. However, it permanently destroyed her taste receptors. Suzie then walks out of the factory. Quincy comments on how von Sweets should be easier to defeat know that he's gone through emotional damage, and von Sweets begs to be defeated as the battle begins.

After defeating him, Mister Riffraff shows up and teleports him into the middle of nowhere to reunite with his Pandishi.
