Colors can be applied to different things, including the user's username, the user's title, and any Doodle's name. Some are available by default, while others must be obtained via earning them. There are three different variants of colors, they are solid, gradient, and animated. The animated type has three sub-types: rotation, fade, and movement. These sub-types determine how the colors are animated.

Trivia
- The red color is, by default, equipped on a wild Doodle with a skin on it. For Exotic Skins, the color is pink instead. The color stays when captured, and can be changed.
- Similarly, the orange color and the light blue color are, by default, equipped on BIG! and tiny Doodles, respectively.
- During events where random wild doodles can be holding unique items, different colored names can be shown to alert the player that the doodle is holding the unique item. Such as with St. Patrick's Day where a doodle holding a Clover Coin had a green name.
- The Elusive color was once a dev color that was obtained by being in the same server as its_oliverr. However, it was changed to instead be purchased from Inari's shop during the Beachgoer 2024 event.
