Backpack Items are one of the most versatile features in Doodle World. You can access your items by clicking the Backpack icon in the Menu.
Functions
Items have many functions, including evolution, competitive use, move-learning, capturing Doodles, and increasing special Doodle spawn rates. Because items have so many uses, they are categorized by how they are generally used into tabs.
- Capsules show all items that are used to capture wild Doodles.
- Items show all items that can be used on a Doodle to induce some effect, such as evolution and changing stats, traits or level.
- Medicine show all items that can be used on a Doodle to heal HP or cure a negative status effect.
- Held Items show all items that can be equipped on a Doodle to induce some effect, usually for competitive use. They only have 1 slot and are equipped separately to Equipment.
- Scrolls show all items that can be used on a Doodle to teach it a specific move.
- Key Items show all items that players can only obtain once which usually help the player in their adventure.
- Equipment show all items that can be equipped on a Doodle that only change a Doodle's base stat(s). They have 3 slots, 1 for each type of Equipment (Helmet, Artifact, Amulet), and are equipped separately to Held Items.
Obtainable Methods
Items can be obtained throughout the story from various methods. These primarily include:
- Purchasing them from Doodle Depots (usually Capsules, Items or Medicine)
- Obtained through the trait Scavenge (usually Capsules, Items, Medicine or Held Items)
- Chests and other Easter eggs (usually Capsules, Items, Held Items or Scrolls)
- Gifts from NPCs (usually Key Items or Held Items)
- Help Center request rewards (usually Items or Held Items)
- Completing Doodlepedia Tasks (usually Items)
- Drops from catching specific Doodles (usually Equipment)
- Gamepasses and Project Pokémon Compensation (usually Key Items)
